Things Image  to Do

Island Hopping  Take a Banca (outrigger boat) and enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the Calamianes Group of Islands.  Hop from island to island swimming, snorkeling and kayaking.  Picnic surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in the world.

Coron Island.  This is the 3rd largest in the Calamianes Group. Dramatic limestone cliffs tower over magnificent lagoons and enclose seven inland lakes of which Cayangan and Barracuda lake can be visited.  Banol Beach has startling white sand which contrasts with the the black limestone cliffs.  Cayangan Lake is reached after a 15 minute treck.  It is 'Y' shaped and bounded by 400ft high black limestone cliffs.  Awesome!

'CYC' beach on the nearby Cagbatan Island is another great place to visit  A beautiful island with trees, mangroves, white sand beach and a reef.  This is where we train new divers.

Nor will you be disappointed by the many other lagoons, coves, bays and protected reefs such as Siete Pecados.

Horse riding  Visit 'Horse Valley'  which has horses suitable for both the expert and the novice.

Motor Cycling  A number of shops hire out motorbikes.  An ideal way to see more of Busuanga Island.

Hot Springs  A 30 minute tricycle ride to Makinit from Coron town.  40 deg water flows out of natural springs from one pool to others giving you a varienty of temperatures in which to bathe!  Good DIY BBQ facilities.

And More!  Climb Mount Tapyas for a breathtaking vista of Coron and the surrounding islands and countryside, go to Mabintagen Forest Park with its waterfall and freshwater swimming, work out at the local Gym or join a fishing trip.

Calauit Tour  A whole day tour to this island at the northen end of Busuanga.  Set up as a game reserve in the mid '70s, a variety of African species were imported, such as giraffes, zebras, elands and impalas.  It is also home to wildlife native to Palawan like Calamian deer, bearcats, mousedeer, porcupines, anteaters and Palawan peacocks with a variety of birds in the aviary.

Culion Tour  Another whole day tour by banca to Culion which is the second largest island of the Calamian group.  A beautiful town with winding roads and pathways, a picturesque old church on a hill overlooking the harbour and an interesting museum depecting it's pre-WWII history as a leper colony.  It earned it's place in the history books because the Japanese would not set foot on it and so it was used to help repratriate allied troops.
